My Christmas Diary

On my return to Sicily on 7th January, it didn’t take me long to rub the 2017 sleep out of my eyes, snap out of my 2 week Christmas coma and hop straight back into the swing of things. Trying to catch up on so much work, manage our business and take care of a baby didn’t leave me time to do the things I wanted to do for myself.

There aren’t enough hours in the day”, my inner voice groaned sorrowfully as I bulldozed through January. Then I heard the loud clatter of a penny drop- if I don’t have enough time, I just have to make time! Now I try to get up at 6am most mornings to have, what they call, a “miracle morning”- where you get your to-do list done before the world wakes up and pulls your threads in every which direction.

Thanks to my early bird mornings, I have finally managed to put my Christmas footage together into a little diary video….and just in time before January takes a bow and draws her curtains closed. I hope it’s a case of better late than never! I had to settle with a very limited Windows Movie Maker to edit it but eventually I hope to get a proper mac laptop and video software. I have so much still to learn but I had so much fun putting it together that it reminded me how energised you feel from being creative. It made me bounce out of the bed in the mornings as it was something I was looking forward to do.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!

Ciao for now,

Eimear xxx

    Hi Eimear,

I really enjoyed your little video. I think I saw you drinking one of my favorite drinks. It’s called the Highland here but it’s the one that has the three coffee beans on top.

I bet you are busy, great idea the “penny drop” New word for me, to just wake up an hour earlier and have the time for creativity. Life is much more fun with it.

    Happy new year to all.

    Best, Pegarty

OMG. It’s 7am here, I’m leaving for the gym shortly, and all the food looks delicious! I lived in England ’88-’92 and spent a lot of time in London. It looks great!
