On the 19th December 2014, three days after my first session of chemotherapy,  I recorded this video of me playing Game of Thrones (GOT) Main Theme on the piano. I know it will not be long before my hair starts to fall out so I want to mark the beginning of this journey with a musical gesture. The famous GOT saying “Winter is coming” is even more poignant to me now;  I know there will be a tough 6 months ahead of me but I’m determined it will not knock the music out of my soul.

Out of hair loss and physical struggle, a greater self-awareness and deepened spirituality is to be gained.

New Year’s Eve 2014, my last hair style for a while! My hair has started to slowly shed at this point.
