Love Your Head!
Love Your Head!

                    Welcome to Chemospiration!

A guide for those who are losing their hair to not fear – you can look even more fabulous bald!! Follow my blog and learn how to discover your edgy new style along with make-up and accessory tips so you don’t feel the need to hide your beautiful head under a wig or headscarves. Celebrate your head and wear it with pride, be ahead of cancer with style!

I finished my 6 cycles of FEC-T chemotherapy on 1st April 2015 and at the beginning, I had feared what I would look like bald. Once I shaved my head in January 2015, I looked in the mirror and smiled. There was no fear to hold me back anymore, I felt free. My bald head unleashed the London lion in me and has made me feel empowered, like a Futuristic Warrior.

Your beautiful bald head needs a new style to match and as a result people will think it’s part of your look and image. There’s also a certain power to be gained when you look strong and stylish on the outside. The strong inside you needs to be mirrored on the outside, if it isn’t then it pulls you down like an anchor. It’s not superficial, it’s a necessity. Style and accessories help keep both inside and outside you in sync.

Own your look, rock your look, love your look. Then you’re ready to face anything, even cancer.

Just wanted to say I love your blog. You look amazing and I love your style and fashion. I love how you empowered yourself through fashion and are helping others to do the same. You took control over an uncontrollable situation. I have two chronic health conditions, nowhere near as serious as yours, but the lack of control I have over it and how it affects me can be disheartening and depressing. However, I do feel better when I put on make up or nice clothes and accessorize. Some people would view it as vain but looking good helps you to feel good too. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Keep up the good work! x

Would you offer guest writers to write content for yourself?
I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write in relation to here.

    Love love your blog,
I am 32 and I was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive breast cancer triple negative status October 2014.
I had my operation lumpectomy on the 30th of December 2014, currently have completed 2 chemo sessions (red devil cocktail) and I have 4 sessions left then I will need a course of radiation.
I decided to shave my head 2 weeks after my 1st Chemo session, I decided not to bother with wigs.
I have rocked both my shaved head, scarfs, bandanas, but nothing gives you freedom like a bald head.
Love your positive attitude. My motto was my boob won’t grow back but my hair will after treatment it’s only hair. Cancer & chemo may be tough but I’m tougher.
Best of luck with the rest of your treatment.
    You go Girl, you Rock

Just seen you on the Brendan O’Connor show. You Look great lady. I’m a 35 year old currently on a similar journey just a couple of months further on. I like to call it my little inconvenience. Much like yourself I didn’t do the wig thing in fact I loved my bald head and found it very liberating. My hair is now growing back and it’s almost completely white but it actually looks very funky. Like yourself I hate the words used around cancer and what I call the sympathy looks. You know the one the head tilt and gentle nod. People need to realise that cancer is not a death sentence and doesn’t mean life as we know it has to stop.Well done on showing that there’s more to cancer queens than hospitals, drugs and lying in bed.
